TF The FunctionalistsBuild more. Cost less. Live free.

The Country Feels Stuck

America is wealthy, talented, innovative, and full of people who want to build. Yet everyday life feels harder than it should. Housing is too expensive. Healthcare is too confusing. Starting a business is too bureaucratic. Government services are too slow. Streets feel less orderly than they should. Politics feels more theatrical than useful.

Scarcity Is Not Destiny

We reject the idea that Americans must simply accept scarcity, decline, and institutional failure. Many of our hardest problems are made worse by artificial limits: zoning that blocks homes, rules that delay infrastructure, healthcare systems that hide prices, licensing barriers that protect incumbents, and agencies that measure process instead of results.

Freedom Requires Abundance

Freedom is not only the absence of government control. Real freedom requires the practical ability to live: a home you can afford, healthcare you can use, a job or business you can build, a neighborhood where you feel safe, and a political system where your voice can matter.

Security Should Not Require Bureaucracy

A humane society should protect people from poverty, medical ruin, and abandonment. But the safety net should be simple, transparent, and designed so work always pays. The goal is not dependency. The goal is a floor beneath every person so people can take risks, move, build, care for family, and recover from setbacks.

Markets Need Competition, Not Monopoly

We believe in markets, entrepreneurship, and private enterprise. But monopoly is not freedom. A market captured by hospital systems, housing cartels, licensing boards, or politically connected incumbents is not a free market. It is private taxation protected by public failure.

Government Should Work

Government should be limited in what it controls, but excellent at what it must do: protect rights, maintain public order, keep basic systems working, enforce fair rules, publish clear data, prevent corruption, and deliver services people can actually use.

We Are Building A New Civic Majority

The Functionalists are for builders, workers, parents, founders, renters, doctors, nurses, teachers, small-business owners, independents, reformers, and anyone who believes America can still choose a better future.

We are not here to manage decline. We are here to build the next American renewal.
